Dr. Javier Alonso-Llamazares, MD, PhD.

Dr. Javier Alonso-Llamazares is a board-certified dermatologist renowned both locally and internationally for his extensive knowledge and training in the field.

A native of Spain, Dr. Alonso pursued his initial medical studies in Europe and expanded his expertise via study in the United States at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota where he specialized in immunopathology of the skin.

Dr. Alonso has 15 years of clinical research experience and has successfully conducted over 200 clinical trials in medical dermatology and cosmetic procedures. In 2020, Dr. Alonso co-founded Driven Research LLC where he continues to expand his clinical research interest and expertise.

Dr. Lucy Kristine Martin, MD

Dr. Lucy K. Martin is a board certified dermatologist and dermatological surgeon. She received her medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. Soon after graduation, Dr Martin joined the University of Miami where she completed a post doctoral research fellowship and residency in clinical dermatology.

Dr. Martin has participated in over 35 clinical trials and has published numerous articles as well as several text book chapters. Her professional associations include fellowships in the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Mohs Surgery.

Dr. Martins professional interests include general and pediatric dermatology, cosmetic procedures and clinical research.

Dr. Juana Maria Montero-Bernaldez, MD

Dr. Juana M. Montero-Bernaldez is originally from Spain where she earned her medical degree from the University of Salamanca. After a year of internship in Family Medicine, she completed the OBGYN residency at Hospital Universitario de Mostoles, in Madrid, where she worked for several years in different fields of obstetrics and gynecology with a special interest in prenatal care and cervical pathology.

Her interest in research took her to participate on research projects on human papillomavirus and fetal therapy at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN, and at JMH/University of Miami respectively where she served as a voluntary Assistant Professor from September 2010 to May 2014.

Dr. Montero-Bernaldez joined the FIU Faculty Group practice in April 2014 as an Assistant professor at the FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and enjoys working in a multicultural environment where she has discovered her passion for education.
